Donation of Ovum

The program of donation is anonymous. The family using donor ova cannot see the donor's photo, but is only informed about the following features: height, weight, eye and hair colour, ethnic origin, education, family and children, blood group and rhesus factor.

What is the Treatment with Donor Germ Cells?

Treatment using donor ovum makes real occurrence of pregnancy and birth of healthy baby for many families when it is impossible to use own germ cells. In such cases ova are obtained from other healthy female donor, then the ovum are fertilized by spouse’s sperm and the obtained embryos are transferred into the uterus of female recipient. Donors are selected individually for patients on the basis of similarity of appearance.

Who May Become an Optional Donor?

Optional donors of ovum may be healthy women from 18 to 34 years of age, who want to provide anonymous help and make it possible for an unknown family to have children.

Status of a donor is an honorable one. It is easy and safe for your health to become a donor and it in no way affects your further ability to have healthy children of your own.
Women wishing to become donors make an appointment with our doctor–specialist in infertility treatment and have their health condition checked.

They go through US examination and the doctor determines their suitability for donation from medical point of view. Procedures related to donation are explained to them in details.
